An Energy Check-In

There were many times in the last week that I thought… I may have bitten off more than I can chew. Not quite bruce-bogtrotter-eating-chocolate-cake-in-matilda level, but it was close.

And the overwhelm didn’t stem from the launch… but from all the other stuff I’m doing while also preparing for a launch that I didn’t see coming. 

Things like…

• Support getting pulled out from under us with a 47K user platform migration

• My local mastermind receiving 18 new leads that all require a 30-minute intro call

Now that I type it out, it’s actually only two things. But it’s two very big things.

The Power of a Buffer

This is why, if you ask me, we need buffer time in our days, weeks, and months; and especially when in Launch Prep mode.

Why not on actual Launch Day, you ask?

Well, the Launch Prep, to me, is where the magic happens. Can you imagine feeling relaxed, bored even, on your Launch Day? Because I can, and I do imagine (aka visualize) it often. 

So, underschedule and underpromise, so that you’re not underresourced for what truly matters.

Even when I was teetering my way into overwhelm this week, I could totter myself out because I have oodles of buffer next week. (Like seriously, I only have 8 calls and a dinner next week! For comparison, this week I had 19 calls and 2 dinners.)
